(Left to right) [1] The works are not affecting the pristine waters of Windang. [2] The excavator in the background is a massive 40-tonner.
[3] LIA construction supervisor Claude with expensive equipment including a roller and bulldozer. [4] The seawater filling the dredged channel is from both the sea (through seepage) and the lake.

(Left to right) [1] The photo shows how big the 40-tonne CAT excavator actually is - note the comparison with the already very large truck sitting to its left. [2] Wire mesh encloses the work compound for safety and equipment security reasons - the public is obviously not allowed entry. [3] The end of the basalt rock stockpile which will be re-positioned to build the northern breakwater out into the sea. [4] The two massive excavators (the other is a 20-tonner) work close to non-stop during normal weekly work hours.

(Left to right) [1] The northern breakwater construction access road, not accessible to the public for safety and equipment security reasons (be careful as there are guard dogs). [2] The already standing extensive southern intermediate training wall (perfect for fishing) in between Reddall Reserve and the northern breakwater works (facing west). [3] The southern intermediate training wall (facing east) which runs from the lake entrance all the way to Reddall Reserve fishing wharves and picnic facilities. [4] The Perkins Beach northern breakwater channel taking shape (shot from Warilla Beach). Large basalt rocks will be placed along the length of the substantial trench.
